Dotson, Sting Too Much for Hornets
|
Sting left fielder Jeff Dotson put his stamp on his team's 9-5 win over the Bethesda Hornets. Dotson was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for Houston in the contest. Dani Sánchez notched his 5th save in 5 chances. With the win over Bethesda, the Sting improved to 59-58.
Also making an impact was designated hitter Jason Scroggins, who drilled a run-scoring double in the bottom of the first inning for the Sting. For the game, Scroggins went 2-5 with a double.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Scroggins.
