Kingwood Wins, Zhong goes 3-for-4
|
Dedicated fans at Stable Park weathered the storm to watch their beloved Knights beat the Saints.
The Kingwood Knights cruised to a 18-4 win over the St. Paul Saints at Stable Park today. Jen-ta Zhong led the way, going 3-for-4 for Kingwood. The winner was Yoshizo Kanemura in relief. His record improves to 6-3. Fernando Criado took the loss. Toshio Kawabata finished the game for Kingwood and earned his 1st save.
The Knights got a lift from left fielder Mike Schmidt who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fifth inning off Fernando Criado. It was his 46th RBI of the season and put Kingwood in front, 5-4.
"We maximized our offense today," said Kingwood skipper Barry Bowman. "That makes everyone's life easier."
Kingwood has now won 3 in a row.
