Black Squirrels Rally For 5-3 Win
|
The Black Squirrels grabbed a win, 5-3, at Philip Banks Field, overcoming a fine effort from Bel Air pitcher Kanichi Kaneshiro. Kaneshiro went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Tree City leads the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division by 4˝ games.
Roberto Coronado was a key contributor to the win for the Black Squirrels. In the top of the eighth with two out, the light-hitting third baseman stroked a single to center. He was 1 for 2.
"This is truly a great team to play with," Coronado said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
