Win Streak Now at 6 for Mustangs

In a well-pitched game between the San Angelo Mustangs and the Boise Bloodhounds, pitcher Kunio Otsuka was superb. The San Angelo right-hander was named the player of the game in San Angelo's 2-1 win. Otsuka, the winner, moves to 7-10. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 11 and giving up 3 walks. The losses continue to add up for Boise, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the second inning when the Mustangs sent teenager Freddy Ramos to the plate against Bloodhounds hurler Juan Disla. With a runner on 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a 2-2 curveball to score 1.
"We're our own worst enemy right now," said Boise skipper Nick Brown.
