Tree City right-hander Bob Galloway made an effective start against the Bethesda Hornets at Hornets Field, leading his team to a 6-3 win. Cory Kieck converted his 27th save in 35 tries. Tree City improves to 72-43 with the win. They lead their division by 3½ games.

Andy Liska had a nice at-bat for the Black Squirrels with one out in the top of the first. With the bases loaded, the shortstop hit a sacrifice fly, which would prove important in the Tree City win.

"Bob is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Tree City manager James Lee.
