The Eugene Emeralds bested the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 9-3, at Penlee Park. Tal-hun Kug was named player of the game. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Emeralds raised their record to 48-63.

Also having an impact was right fielder Umito Kono, who stroked a 2-run double in the top of the second for Eugene. For the game, Kono went 2 for 6 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Kug told the Eugene Chronicle.
