Princes Come Back Late, Nip Bums
|
The Bel Air Princes scored a 7-6 win versus the Palm Beach Bums at Philip Banks Field. Bel Air first baseman Aaron Kelch nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Reliever Toru Saito picked up the win. His record improves to 2-8. Joe Manfredi took the loss. With the win, Bel Air goes to 44-66, while the Bums fall to 49-65.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Bel Air trailing 6-5, Kelch hit a cutter from Joe Manfredi for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Princes had a walk-off win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Kelch said in his postgame press conference.
