|
Oliver Romero pitched a gem to lead Bloomington to a 4-1 victory over the South Carolina Bombers. Romero went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-6. Toyotomi Nakano notched his 4th save in 5 chances.
With one out in the bottom of the second, Levi Meeuwenberg stroked a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 53rd hit of the season and put Bloomington in front, 1-0.
"Oliver's tempo and rhythm were good," said Blazers manager Javier Ramírez. "He was the key to us winning."
The 4th-place Blazers improved to 30-30.
