Vikings Take Nail-Biter Over Blue Claws

The Victoria Vikings took Baltimore pitcher Jesús Rivera's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The drakkar. The final score had Victoria getting past the Blue Claws, 5-3. Rivera went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run, striking out 8. Victoria is first in the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division with a record of 69-43.
Victoria won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Shu-de Tian on the mound for Baltimore, second baseman Devin West hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Vikings fans to their feet.
"We didn't go down without a fight," said Baltimore manager Bernard Jacq.
