Emeralds Best Dancin' Outlaws in Pitching Duel
In a tight game between the Eugene Emeralds and the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, pitcher Javier Ballina was terrific on the mound. The Eugene left-hander was named the player of the game in Eugene's 2-0 win. Ballina got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Ballina allowed no earned runs. Andy Ryan finished the game for Eugene and earned his 20th save.

Vinnie Errichiello aided the Eugene cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the second baseman was 1-4.
