Mafia Drop Aces, 4-1
|
The New York Mafia got a stellar effort from pitcher Jun'ichi Suzuki, helping New York score a 4-1 win over the visiting Columbus Aces. Even with the win, the Mafia have a dismal 21-40 record.
One of the key players for the Mafia was center fielder Jonathan Reynaud, who drilled a 2-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the game, Reynaud went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Mafia manager Roberto Campos. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
