Bush Wackers Get Past Eugene for 3-2 Win
|
The Bush Wackers faced a stiff challenge from Eugene pitcher Sung-moon Lee, but persevered to claim a win at Prefontaine Park. The final score was 3-2. Lee went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Brisbane reliever Mudasser Sabzvari was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Andy Ryan. Earning his 22nd save of the year was Danny Posada.
In the top of the ninth inning, the Bush Wackers grabbed the lead when Daniel Cruz rapped a two-out single. Brisbane was trailing 2-1, when Cruz hit a 2-run single off Andy Ryan to put his team in front, 3-2.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Tom Becker.
The Bush Wackers now have a record of 62-43.
