The exploits of left fielder Jeff Dotson, who is tied for 9th in the AHL in extra base hits with 33, helped the Houston Sting defeat the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 6-2. Dotson went 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI. Houston reliever José López was the winner. His record is now 7-3. The losing pitcher was Hector Alvarez. Earning his 2nd save for Houston was Dani Sánchez.

Dotson had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run single. The Sting went on to win.
