Boise beat Baltimore at Old Bay Park, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Dave Garza, who earned player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. Even with the win, the Bloodhounds have a dismal 28-75 record.

It could have been a different outcome for Boise, had it not been for Glenn Wilson, the 23-year old third baseman . Wilson contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Boise up, 4-3.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Garza told a Boise Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
