Pelicans Clip Emeralds in Tight Contest
The St. Petersburg Pelicans got a stellar effort from pitcher Sylvester Norwood, helping St. Petersburg score a 3-2 win over the visiting Eugene Emeralds. St. Petersburg, at 39-64, sits in last place in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.

St. Petersburg took a 3-2 lead on Ismael Correa's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Correa hit in the bottom of the ninth, left Eugene pitcher Hank Emmons visibly frustrated.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Eugene manager Tom Becker.
