Blue Claws Come Back Late to Clip Princes
|
Despite a fine performance by left fielder Wayne Steiert, the Bel Air Princes suffered a 5-4 loss to the Baltimore Blue Claws. Steiert was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Baltimore reliever Roger Stewart was credited with the win, to go to 3-1. Toru Saito took the loss for Bel Air. The Blue Claws have an impressive 67-35 record.
Kaoru Katsumata made it 5-4 in favor of Baltimore when he delivered a solo home run. It came with two out in the top of the eighth. The Blue Claws went on to win.
"I was a little disappointed," said Bel Air manager Leland Austin. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
