Westside third baseman Li-xue Liu had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Liu went 4-4 with 4 singles, even as St. Paul beat the Road Warriors, 6-3. Liu was named the player of the game despite the loss. Seijii Matsumura got the win, improving to 4-8. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The losing streak for Westside has now reached 4 games.

Matt Tullos helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give St. Paul a 2-0 lead.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Tullos told the St. Paul Bulletin.
