Bedford Helps Tree City Cruise to 11-3 Win
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Ty Bedford, the Tree City Black Squirrels defeated the Charleston Panthers, 11-3. Bedford went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Black Squirrels. Esteban Ruíz, credited with the win, is now 9-1. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 2.1 innings. The Black Squirrels have an impressive 62-38 record.
Bedford had a key at-bat for Tree City early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and gave Tree City an early 3-0 lead.
