DeLuca Lifts Cyclones to 7-5 Win
|
Coney Island third baseman Nick DeLuca had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Bethesda Hornets, 7-5. Jamie Morgan earned the save, his 19th. The last-place Cyclones lifted their record to 42-56.
Ed Jackson drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances against the Hornets. In the bottom of the first inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Coney Island in front, 1-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Jackson said.
