The New Orleans Jedi Knights had to overcome a big game from St. Petersburg right fielder Arvid Schwartz to leave The Republic with a 5-4 victory. Schwartz went 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. New Orleans has now reeled off 7 straight wins.

In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 4-4, second baseman Justin Ray won it for New Orleans. With the bases empty, Ray hit a first pitch cutter from Brad Leys for a solo home run, giving his team a 5-4 win.
