The Brisbane Bush Wackers got a strong performance from pitcher Esteban Montes, who stymied the Boise offense en route to a 5-2 win at Grand Canyon Valley Park. Montes, the winner, moves to 7-3. He threw 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Danny Posada earned his 19th save in 20 chances.
Ricardo Aragon was a key contributor to the win for the Bush Wackers. In the top of the eighth with two out, the light-hitting pinch hitter stroked a single to right. He went 1 for 1, while adding 2 RBI.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Brisbane manager Pete Barrett.
The winning streak has now reached 6 games for Brisbane.
