Knights Win, Yamashita hits 2 home runs
Keisaku Yamashita added some punch to the Kingwood offense, helping them outmuscle the Tree City Black Squirrels, 9-7. In the game, Yamashita went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Yoshizo Kanemura picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-3. Jun Zhou was tagged with the loss. Miguel Rodríguez was called on to finish, recording his 9th save.

The Knights beat the Black Squirrels in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Eric Head produced in the bottom of the fifth. Batting against Tree City pitcher Jun Zhou, Head gave his team a 5-4 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Head.

The Knights improved to 44-54.
