Shade Lose Again, 5-1, to Mustangs

Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium was the site for Lyman Bostock League action featuring the Stroudsburg Shade and San Angelo Mustangs.
The San Angelo Mustangs beat the Stroudsburg Shade, 5-1, at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. San Angelo second baseman Manuel Infante earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI. San Angelo reliever Emílio Buenvenida was credited with the win, to go to 7-1. Danny Medina took the loss for Stroudsburg.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, San Angelo got a break when Infante went to the plate. With one out, runners on 1st and 2nd and the Mustangs leading 1-0, Infante hit a 2-run double.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Juan Rivera, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
Stroudsburg is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.
