Loss to Mustangs Extends Stroudsburg Losing Streak
|
Francisco Enriquez knocked in all 5 runs for the San Angelo Mustangs, helping them beat the Stroudsburg Shade, 5-2. Oscar Mata got the win, improving to 4-0. He worked 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. Al Hrabosky Jr. was credited with the save for San Angelo, his 29th of the season.
Enriquez contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for San Angelo in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Enriquez took a knuckle curve from José Vásquez and stroked the double to left-center. His 6th double of the season allowed the Mustangs to leap in front, 3-1.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Stroudsburg manager Juan Rivera.
The losses continue to mount for Stroudsburg, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
