Houston got a terrific game from designated hitter Joe Sheridan. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Tree City, 6-5. Sheridan was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3-5 with 3 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Tree City reliever Cory Kieck picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-9. Edwin Crespin was collared with the loss. The first-place Black Squirrels have won 4 straight.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Tree City designated hitter Miguel Pacheco, facing Edwin Crespin, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Black Squirrels the 6-5 win.

"Exhilarating win," said Pacheco.
