Sandoval Swings for the Cycle
|
Alejandro Sandoval had a banner day at the plate today, stringing together all four legs of the cycle as the Victoria Vikings beat the Winfield Warriors, 7-2.
Sandoval drilled 4 hits in 4 at-bats, collecting 5 runs batted in and scoring 1 run to capture the win for Victoria.
"I was fortunate to see some good pitches and I was fortunate to be able to make the most of them," he said later. "It was a good day for us."
Alejandro Sandoval hit a two-run triple in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Augusto Pacheco in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
In 79 games this season Sandoval has batted at a .245 pace with 68 hits and 4 home runs.
