The rain came, as predicted, but the Tree City Black Squirrels and Bel Air Princes were able to complete their ballgame.
Tree City pitcher Francis Luck did his part in helping his team beat the Bel Air Princes, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Tree City occupies first place in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division at 58-35.
Shalom Oosterman was a key contributor to the win for the Black Squirrels. In the bottom of the sixth with one out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a double to right. He was 1-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Oosterman told the Tree City Daily.
