Saints Get 7-1 Win Versus Kingwood
|
Dedicated fans at Saints Ballpark weathered the storm to watch their beloved Saints beat the Knights.
St. Paul catcher Oscar Mayes had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Kingwood Knights, 7-1. The third-place Saints raised their record to 41-49.
In the bottom of the second inning, St. Paul got a break when Mayes went to the plate. With two outs, runners on 1st and 2nd and the Saints leading 1-0, Mayes hit a 3-run home run.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Mayes told reporters after the game.
