Larry Zimmerman added some punch to the Coney Island offense, helping them outmuscle the Chippewa River Chiefs, 12-7. In the game, Zimmerman, who is tied for 10th in the BOL in home runs with 12, went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Coney Island reliever Ryan Nichols was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Juan Lara. Eric Sanford was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 8 save opportunities.

One important at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the eighth inning. Facing Chippewa hurler Juan Lara, Bill Ottinger drew a walk. The Cyclones went on to win.
