Stroudsburg starter Tony Velasquez pitched effectively against the Barrow Frosties at Tim Raines Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 8-6 win. The Shade' win now puts them at 47-42.

The Shade beat the Frosties with some clutch hitting. The single by Kazuki Ito in the bottom of the fifth is a good example. With two down, Ito gave his team the lead, 7-6, when he came through with the big hit.

Velasquez told a Stroudsburg Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
