Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park was the site for Thurman Munson League action featuring the Bloomington Blazers and South Carolina Bombers.
Bloomington had no answer for South Carolina Bombers starter Beau Miller, who flummoxed Blazers hitters as the Bombers cruised to a 6-0 victory. Miller picked up the win for South Carolina, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1.
Kiyonobu Yamasaki wielded some clout for South Carolina. The right fielder had a 2-run home run in the top of the second for the Bombers. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Yamasaki went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
Miller told a South Carolina Daily News reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
The second-place Bombers lifted their record to 34-23.
