Baltimore turned a good effort from starter Alex Rivas into a win over the Coney Island Cyclones at Coney Island Coliseum. The final score was 4-2. The winner was Bill Paul in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ryan Nichols took the loss. Baltimore has an impressive 60-29 record.
Victor Torres's at-bat with two out in the top of the eighth was critical. The Baltimore first baseman hit a 2-run double, to put his team on top, 4-2. Runs were at a premium and this one was huge.
