Losing Streak Continues for Bloodhounds with 6-5 Loss to Warriors
The Winfield Warriors did just enough to secure a 6-5 victory over the Boise Bloodhounds at The Barn. Nobody did more than pitcher Danny Reliford, who captured player of the game honors. Reliford, now 1-1, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. The misery continues for the Bloodhounds, which has now dropped 10 in a row.

One of the key players for the Warriors was shortstop Mark Holliday, who drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first inning. For the game, Holliday went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Reliford told the Winfield Citizen. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
