Guglielmo Tomei was superb against Brisbane. The right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the AHL with a 6 quality starts, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 5-0 Frosties victory. Tomei got the win, improving to 7-5. He allowed 2 hits and walked 4 over 5.1 innings. Tomei allowed no earned runs. The first-place Frosties, at 58-32, now lead their division by 8 games.

One critical moment came in the bottom of the fourth, when Barrow bent under pressure but did not break. The score was 3-0, Barrow, with one out. Brisbane had the bases loaded. Young-myung Hyong had a chance to deliver a clutch base hit, but instead hit into a double play on a 2-1 fastball.
