Thrilling Victory Pushes Blue Claws Win Streak to 10
|
The Baltimore Blue Claws extended their winning streak at Coney Island Coliseum.
The Coney Island Cyclones got a superb performance from pitcher Neil Coffin, but the Baltimore Blue Claws still won the game, 5-3. Coffin was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 5 innings of shutout ball. This win makes it 10 in a row for Baltimore.
Justin Bishop found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the eighth. Facing Coney Island hurler Joe Schrock, the 20-year-old third baseman reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. His 50th RBI of the season put the Blue Claws on top, 4-3.
"We'll keep riding this wave as long as we can," said Blue Claws manager Bernard Jacq.
