Black Squirrels Stay Hot, Beat Hornets

Tree City pitcher Francis Luck did his part in helping his team beat the Bethesda Hornets, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Bethesda has now lost 4 in a row.
Mexicali, Mexico-born Nacho Cruz came through in the clutch. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Black Squirrels trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run triple to left to put Tree City on top.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Black Squirrels manager James Lee, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
