Nichol belts 2 home runs, Leads Saints to Win
|
St. Paul designated hitter Al Nichol had a 6-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 9-3 win over the Coney Island Cyclones. St. Paul reliever Blake Connell was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Jackson Knickle took the loss for Coney Island. The third-place Saints have won 4 straight games.
Nichol had a big at-bat with no one out in the top of the third inning. With his team down, 3-1, the designated hitter hit a grand slam home run to put St. Paul ahead.
"We all want to win," said Nichol. "We all want to do our part."
