Extra-Inning Win by Hornets over Princes
The Bethesda Hornets beat the Bel Air Princes, 7-6 at Philip Banks Field, in part due to left fielder Tetsui Ohayashi, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4 times. Bethesda reliever Tadakatsu Murayama picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Toru Saito absorbed the loss. Hiroshi Nagasawa was credited with the save for Bethesda, his 26th of the season.

Sean Witter had the most critical at-bat for Bethesda. With one in the top of the 11th inning, Witter hit a 1-1 fastball from Toru Saito for a run-scoring single. It put Bethesda in front, 7-6.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Ohayashi. "I like it."

The Hornets now have a record of 46-38.
