Thrilling Victory Pushes Blue Claws Win Streak to 5
|
The Baltimore Blue Claws eked out a 6-5 win versus the Chippewa River Chiefs at Old Bay Park. Nobody did more than center fielder Justin Nance, who captured player of the game honors. Baltimore has now won 5 games in a row.
In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 5-5, pinch hitter Dan Groover won it for Baltimore. With the bases empty, Groover hit a 2-0 sinker from Eddie Zuniga for a solo home run, giving his team a 6-5 win.
"Put a star next to this win," Groover said.
