Pelicans Walk It Off for 29th Win of Season
In a low-scoring tilt between the St. Petersburg Pelicans and the Kingwood Knights, Sylvester Norwood was the difference-maker. The St. Petersburg right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. The winner was Marlon Douglas in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Aaron Arnett took the loss. At 29-46, St. Petersburg is in last place in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.

The Pelicans were down to their final out when third baseman Orrin Martell turned a 0-1 fastball from Aaron Arnett into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the Billy Mathews Field crowd go wild.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Kingwood manager Barry Bowman.
