The Kingwood Knights met little resistance from the St. Petersburg Pelicans, beating them 11-3 at Billy Mathews Field. Jen-ta Zhong led the way. He went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Kingwood. Kingwood is now 35-41.

Paul Dannemiller helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give Kingwood a 2-0 lead.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Dannemiller told the Kingwood Citizen.
