Saints Score Late to Upend Gnats, 3-2
The St. Paul Saints and Nichols Gnats played an exciting game at Saints Ballpark.

Nichols got a terrific performance from pitcher Victor Saenz, but it wasn't enough to beat the St. Paul Saints. St. Paul won the Saints Ballpark contest, 3-2. Saenz was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 5 innings allowing 1 run. St. Paul reliever T.J. Balaski picked up the win to move to 2-4. Arturo Gallegos suffered the loss.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With St. Paul trailing 2-1, T.J. Oster hit a fastball from Arturo Gallegos to left-center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Saints had a walk-off win.

"This place was rockin'," Oster said.

The last-place Gnats have lost 6 straight games.
