Knights Drop Another One
|
The San Angelo Mustangs picked up a win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium, knocking off the Kingwood Knights, 6-3. On the mound for San Angelo was right-hander Oscar Mata, who played a pivotal role in the win. Al Hrabosky Jr., summoned from the bullpen, notched his 21st save. San Angelo is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Chipping in for San Angelo was second baseman Raymond Spurrell. He stroked a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the third. For the game, Spurrell went 2 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Barry Bowman. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
