|
The St. Paul Saints defeated the Nichols Gnats, 7-2, at Saints Ballpark. St. Paul catcher Roberto Marando was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Seijii Matsumura got the win, improving to 3-7. He worked 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Nichols's current losing streak is now 4 games.
