Despite a great performance by Eugene first baseman Jeff Fosbrink, the Stroudsburg Shade defeated the Emeralds by the score of 5-4 at Tim Raines Stadium. Fosbrink went 3-5 with 3 singles. Doug Durham picked up the save, his 6th. Stroudsburg bumps their record to 36-34 with the win.

Júlio Jiménez drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Stroudsburg. The 20-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jesús Ordóñez. It was his 37th walk of the season.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Stroudsburg manager Juan Rivera.
