Zimmerman Stars in Cyclones Win
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 21-year old left fielder Larry Zimmerman, the Coney Island Cyclones stopped the Boise Bloodhounds, 6-1. The 4th-place Cyclones improved to 32-39.
Zimmerman was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 against the Bloodhounds. With the game tied in the top of the third inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that scored 1 and put Coney Island in front, 1-0.
"I just love going out and having a big game," Zimmerman said when asked about being named player of the game. "It's an honor to have your talents recognized."
