It was a good time at Woodland Park, where fans came to watch the Palm Beach Bums and Houston Sting get after it.

The Houston Sting got a stellar effort from pitcher Javier Martínez, helping Houston score a 5-1 win over the visiting Palm Beach Bums. The Bums, now 33-39, have lost 4 straight.

John Thompson had a nice at-bat for the Sting with two out in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, the right fielder hit a 2-run double, which would prove important in the Houston win.

In postgame comments to the Houston Today, Martínez said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
