The Brooklyn Black Knights got a strong performance from pitcher Elijah Green, who stymied the Columbus offense en route to a 3-1 win at Central Park Downtown Stadium. Green got the win, improving to 5-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Green allowed 1 earned run. The save went to Ti-an Dan, his 15th this season.

With two out in the top of the seventh, Ichiyo Yano hit a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 37th hit of the season and with it the Black Knights took a 2-1 lead.

"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Columbus manager Chris Schell. "Obviously."

With the win, the Black Knights have a record of 31-26.
