Late Rally Gets Win for Knights
Chippewa got a terrific performance from pitcher Ben Crabb, but it wasn't enough to beat the Kingwood Knights. Kingwood won the Stable Park contest, 5-4. Crabb was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 5 innings allowing 4 runs. Kingwood is in 5th place in the Lyman Bostock League Dick Williams Division with a record of 30-36.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 4-4, center fielder Jim Unknown won it for Kingwood. With a runner on 1st, Unknown hit a 1-2 fastball from Juan Lara for a run-scoring triple, giving his team a 5-4 win.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Unknown told the Kingwood Citizen. "You win just by scoring more runs."
