Victory Pushes Black Squirrels Record to 40-26
|
The Tree City Black Squirrels stymied the Houston Sting, 7-1, at Woodland Park. James Bell, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Tree City. Francis Luck earned the win for Tree City. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 11 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 3-2. The Black Squirrels improved to 40-26.
Guo-ning Siu contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the first. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped Tree City get the win.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Tree City manager James Lee. "Our pregame was pretty good."
